Kevin holds a Bachelor in Informatics and a Master in Engineering Sciences: Computer Sciences from Ghent University. During his studies he interned as software developer at Soft-Ages and Alcatel-Lucent.
After graduating in 2009 he joined the Internet Based Communication Networks and Services (IBCN) research group at Ghent University, where he was a smart grid researcher working towards a PhD.
His research focused on smart grid simulation, optimization and scheduling of electric vehicle charging, and energy consumption profiling. His work resulted in several international publications. In 2015 he joined Sentiance as data scientist.
Sentiance offers real-time Ambient Intelligence automated through a proprietary sensor fusion platform to enterprises, DMPs, SMEs and mobile app developers. The platform empowers companies to build behavioral profiles of connected users and enriching those profiles with personalized, predictive and context-aware services.
